Smartphone manufacturer Oppo has globally launched its custom user interface, ColorOS 16. It’s an upgraded version of ColorOS 15 and is based on the latest Android 16. The global rollout of ColorOS 16 will begin in November 2025, with the first phase continuing until early 2026. This new update includes improvements to design, performance, and AI integration. Along with the launch of ColorOS 16, the company also launched its new flagship smartphones, the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro.
ColorOS 16: Improvement Overall Performance
ColorOS 16’s primary focus is to provide a smooth and refined user experience. An optimization project named “Project Bridge” has also been added. Oppo has also added the new Luminous Rendering Engine and Trinity Engine to make app launching and scrolling even smoother.
The company also claims double-digit improvements in animation speed and touch response. New moving wallpapers, a full-screen always-on display, and natural color tones will be available. The new UI design is fully inspired by nature, incorporating elements like light, shadow, and motion.
ColorOS 16 : Include Several AI Updates
ColorOS 16 also includes several AI updates. New tools have been added in the update. This list includes tools like AI Portrait Glow, AI Eraser, and Master Cut. These features will allow users to edit photos and videos at a professional level with just one tap. Oppo has also added another special feature to ColorOS 16 that optimizes tablets and other connected devices, allowing users to easily switch tasks within a single interface. This update also focuses on OS user data protection. It focuses more on AI-based privacy controls and location permissions.
