Huawei has officially teased the Huawei MateBook Pro S, an ultra-light laptop that tips the scales at just 798 grams. The company calls it the lightest PC it has made so far and is positioning the device as a major step forward in portability. The reveal comes ahead of Huawei’s All-Scenario New Product Launch Conference on August 5.
The teaser focuses almost entirely on the design and weight. Huawei shows a razor-thin side profile that looks like a single line connected by a hinge. The cover has a smooth, gliding surface with subtle HUAWEI branding. Five colour options are confirmed: Midsummer Purple, Dawn Yellow, Smoke Gray, Velvet White, and Feather Black. The laptop will run HarmonyOS and is described as the first S-series HarmonyOS PC.
Very few technical details are confirmed yet. Everything beyond weight, colours, and software remains expected or rumoured. Still, the 798-gram claim alone is enough to generate serious interest among people who travel often, students who carry a laptop every day, and professionals who hate heavy machines.

Huawei is clearly proud of the chassis. At 798 grams the MateBook Pro S undercuts the previous MateBook X Pro (around 980 grams) and the earlier HarmonyOS MateBook Pro (around 970 grams) by a noticeable margin.
