Infinix Hot 60i 5G is here, and it feels like a solid phone under ₹10,000! At this price, you get 5G, big battery, and premium design, which was previously only seen in phones worth ₹15,000-20,000. I unboxed it and tested it – checked everything from design to performance. Let’s see how is this phone and is it worth the money!
What’s in the box?
The box is absolutely clean and compact. Inside you get the phone, 18W charger (Qualcomm licensed), Type-A to Type-C cable, SIM ejector pin, warranty card, and a hard shell case. The pill-shaped design of the case is quite different and looks great. Providing both charger and case at this price is a big plus point. After unboxing it, it feels like Infinix has put in some hard work!
Design: Cheap but Premium Feel
The look of the phone is absolutely awesome! With a matte finish back and shiny sides, it feels like glass even though it is made of plastic. It has flat sides and plastic frame, but the build quality is solid – weighing 198g and having a 6000mAh battery, the phone doesn’t feel that heavy. Colours include Shadow Blue, Monsoon Green, Plum Red, and Sleek Black – Shadow Blue really stands out! It has an IP64 rating, meaning it won’t be affected by a little water or dust. The grip is great and is a perfect fit for average-sized hands.
Display: Large and Smooth
6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate. The waterdrop notch looks a little old, but the viewing angles are good. With 670 nits brightness, there is no problem in indoor usage and it works well outdoors too. The screen is clearly visible even in the sun due to the Outdoor Booster feature. The bezels are average and the chin is a bit big, but the LCD display performs quite well at this price.
Performance: Smooth and good for gaming
MediaTek Dimensity 6400 SoC, which comes with 5G support. AnTuTu score is ~4.25L, which is decent for this price. There is 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage – UFS 2.2 would have been better. XOS 15 (Android 15) is very smooth in daily use – apps open quickly, and nothing feels big. Casual gaming like BGMI runs smoothly at 40fps, but heavy games require a little effort. The claim of 5-year TUV fluency certification also seems right – stutters are very less. There are hot games and bloatware like Snapchat, but you can uninstall them.
Battery: Long lasting
The 6000mAh battery is a big USP of this phone – such a big battery is rare in this price range! It lasts for 1.5-2 days in normal use, and even in heavy use (gaming, videos) it gives 8-10 hours of screen-on time. 18W charging is a little slow, but getting a charger in the box is a great bonus.
Camera: Good, but average
50MP primary rear camera and 5MP selfie camera. Photos are quite clear during the day – colours are okay, but there is a little over-sharpening. There is a Portrait mode, vlog mode, and wide selfie option, which are useful for social media. Photos are average in low-light – there is a little noise. 2K 30fps video recording is possible from both front and rear, which is a big deal at this price.
Connectivity and Extras: Everything is there
5G SA/NSA support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and IR Blaster – can control TV or AC! With Ultra Link feature, Bluetooth calling is also possible when there is no network. There is a triple slot – 2 SIM + microSD (upto 2TB). There is also a 3.5mm jack, FM radio, and Widevine L1 support, which is useful for HD streaming. Side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock both are fast. All sensors, including gyroscope, are also there.
AI Features: AI even in budget
Infinix AI offers a lot of features – Folax Voice Assistant, AI Translation, AI Document Assistant, AI Writing Assistant, AI Note Taking, AI Recording Summary, AI Subtitles, and AI Wallpaper Generator. There is also Circle to Search. AI features work 70-75% well, which is unexpected in this price range.
Pricing: Worth it?
The price of 4GB+128GB variant is ₹9,299, but with prepaid card offers it is available for ₹8,999. Sale will start from 21 August 2025 on Flipkart and offline stores. Getting 5G, big battery, and AI features in this price is a very solid deal!
