iQOO is launching the Z10 Turbo Pro+ in India soon, and now they have brought the Z10 Turbo Plus! When I saw its specs – MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip, 8000mAh battery, and a price of just ₹28,000 – my mind was blown! I thought, let’s book a ticket from Dubai and test it. I tested this phone thoroughly for three days, I have brought its full review. Will this phone be launched in India? Is there anything new in it? Let’s see in a straight and fun way!
Unboxing: What’s in the Box?
The box is absolutely sleek black, and the specs are written above – base variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. When you open it, the phone comes in your hand first, and I chose the gray color, which looks absolutely beautiful with the dual-tone design – golden lines in the camera frame and body gray. Apart from this, glass body is also an option, which is quite premium.
The box contains a black case, 90W Vivo FlashCharge charger (yes, Vivo’s charger, because iQOO is Vivo’s brand!), and Type-A to Type-C cable. The 90W charger is a bit disappointing as Neo 10 had a 120W charger, but providing a charger at this price is a big deal!
Design: Minimal
The design of the phone is very clean and minimal. There is glass at the back, but the frame is plastic – expecting a metal frame at this price is a bit too much. There is IP65 dust and splash resistance, but it would have been more fun if it was IP68/69. The weight is 212g and the thickness is 8.2mm – it is quite slim with such a big 8000mAh battery! There is dual SIM support, and IR blaster is also given – quite useful for controlling TV or AC. The gray color looks very sober and classy, and there are also black and blue colors.
Display: Big and very smooth
The display is a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED, with 144Hz refresh rate – very smooth! With 5500 nits peak brightness, it looks clear even in sunlight. It is fun to watch HDR content – the colors pop, the contrast is amazing. The bezels are a bit big, and I personally prefer a 6.4-6.5 inch compact display, but such a big display is overkill at this price point! There is an in-display fingerprint scanner, but it is placed a little niche, so there is a little problem in one-handed use. With Visual Enhancement and Super Resolution Mode, watching content is absolutely awesome.
Performance: Rocket in Gaming!
It has MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip, which competes with Snapdragon 8 Elite. With Immortal-G925 GPU, it beats 8 Elite in GPU scores – Geekbench multi-core score of 8200 and GPU score of 21,000! AnTuTu score of 2.6M – unbelievable at this price! With UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM, apps open very quickly. But in storage speed test, it scored 2 lakh, while Poco F7 (same UFS 4.1) scored 2.5 lakh – may be improved with a software update.
Vivo Q2 eSports chip is dedicated for gaming. In PUBG, 90fps runs smoothly on Smooth+Extreme, and with Ultra Gaming Mode and Monster Mode, the performance gets further boosted. 71% stability in CPU throttle test – graph is mostly green, a little yellow. Heating is also under control – max 40°C from front and back. App opening speed is the fastest in this price range – absolutely rocket!
Battery: Where will you get such backup?
The 8000mAh silicon-carbon battery is the biggest highlight of this phone! It is double the size of Galaxy S25, and gives 6 hours of screen-on time in heavy use (gaming, videos), 12-14 hours of screen-on time in normal use (social media, calls). Full charge in 1 hour with 90W charger, but it would have been more fun if it was 120W. No one gives so much backup in this price!
Camera: Fine, but not amazing
The camera disappoints a bit. There is 50MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and 16MP front camera. Colours are good in wide-angle (1x) photos, details are sharp, but in ultra-wide (0.6x) colours are a bit dull and resolution is low. Up to 10x zoom is fine, but at 20x the image becomes bad because there is no dedicated telephoto. Portrait mode is average – blur is fine, but the magic of Vivo/iQOO’s usual high-quality ISP is not visible. Selfie camera is also decent, but there is no standout quality in skin tones and blur.
In video, the front camera is limited to 1080p@30fps, and stabilization is good, but the resolution seems low. The rear camera records 4K@60fps, but there is a little shake even in natural mode – there is no significant difference even if super stabilization is turned on. Overall, the camera is fine in this price range, but it is also below Neo 10.
Software: OriginOS 5 magic
OriginOS 5 (Android 15) is an amazing feature of this phone – China exclusive, and much better than Funtouch OS! Control Center is very intuitive, there are interactive options to adjust brightness, you can customize folders, change colors. AI features are very fast – image eraser tool removed the object in 5 seconds, which is even faster than Galaxy S25! 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates every year, which is solid for the long term.
Audio and Extras: Decent, but nothing wow
Dual stereo speakers – vocals and bass are good, but loudness is a bit low. Would give 7/10 rating. Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and 5G support. USB-C 2.0 port is a bit slow – 3.2 would have been better.
Pricing: Value For Money?
The base variant (12GB+256GB) is ~₹28,000 in China. Getting Dimensity 9400+, 8000mAh battery, and 144Hz display in this price is a real steal deal! There is no confirmed news about its launch in India yet, but if it comes then it could be launched for ~₹30,000-32,000.
