Friends, today we are going to talk about a phone that is making a splash in the budget segment – Motorola Edge 60 Fusion! If you are looking for a stylish, powerful, and feature-packed phone in the budget of 25,000, then this post is for you.
I have used this phone for 2 days, and today I will tell you everything about it – design, performance, camera, battery – in detail. So let’s start without any delay!
Design: Premium Look, Lightweight Feel
First of all, let’s talk about its design. Motorola has left no stone unturned in the design this time. This phone weighs 180 grams, which makes it super lightweight. Its vegan leather back (my unit is in Pantone Zephyr color – a dark purple shade) gives an absolutely premium feel.
There are two more colors – Pantone Slip Stream and Pantone. The frame is plastic, but the build quality is so solid that you won’t find it cheap.
The physical aspects of the phone are also quite sorted:
- Bottom: SIM card tray (dual SIM or 1 SIM + 1TB memory card), mic, USB 2.0 port (yes, USB 3.0 would have been better), and a speaker.
- Top: Secondary mic and Dolby Atmos branding.
- Right side: Volume buttons and power button.
- Left side: Completely clean.
And yes, this phone is IP68 and IP69 rated, meaning it has full protection of dust and water resistance. But remember, do not take the risk of submerging it in water, as it does not have warranty cover!
Talking about the display, it is a 6.7-inch 10-bit curved P-OLED, which comes with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen-to-body ratio is 96.3%, which is quite impressive at this price point. Colours are vibrant, and there is Gorilla Glass 7i protection as well.
Watching content on Netflix or YouTube is absolutely amazing on this display, as it supports 100% DCI-P3 and HDR10+. Anything missing? The fingerprint sensor is placed a little lower, which would have been better if it was a little higher.
Performance: Smooth and Reliable
Now coming to the heart of it – Moto G7400 processor (with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage). Yes, UFS 3.0 would have been more fun, but at this price point, that is enough. I tested this phone for normal usage – opening/closing apps, browsing, social media – everything is absolutely smooth. RAM management is also impressive, and apps load quickly.
For gaming, I tried Genshin Impact, and it was capped at 30FPS (60FPS support was not available, probably a chipset limitation). I got an average of 28.6 FPS in 30 minutes of gameplay and the temperature was under control. Battery drain was also just 8% which is a big win for casual gamers. If we look at the benchmark scores, this phone gives a score of 7 lakh+ AnTuTu which is quite decent considering its price.
Battery and Charging: No Complaints!
Motorola has done a great job in the battery department. With a 5500mAh battery, this phone will easily last you more than a day, even with heavy usage. I noticed in 2 days of usage that the battery backup is absolutely solid. There is also 68W fast charging, which charges the phone from 50% in 20-21 minutes and 0-100% in 54 minutes. Charger is provided in the box, so there is no need to buy it separately.
Camera: Excellent in daylight, a little difficult in low light
The camera setup of this phone is quite balanced:
- 50MP main camera
- 13MP ultra-wide (can also take macro shots)
- Light sensor (for better color accuracy)
- 32MP selfie camera
The samples of the main camera are quite good in daylight. Colours are vibrant, dynamic range is decent, and skin tones also look natural. But sometimes shadows get crushed, and lens flares are also visible at certain angles. Ultra-wide shots are also detailed and worth the price, and macro shots are satisfactory.
The blur in Portrait mode feels a bit artificial, and edge detection needs some improvement. Selfies are beautiful in daylight, but noise and sharpness are a bit too much in low light.
For videos, you can shoot 4K 30FPS (both from rear and front). Stabilisation is quite good, but lens switching is a bit abrupt. Daylight videos are sharp and vibrant, but need some effort in low light.
Software: Clean and Feature-Packed
Talking about the software, this phone runs on Hello UI, which is Android 14 based. Motorola has promised 3+4 years of updates, which is a big thing, as it used to get complaints earlier. The UI is fluid, no bugs were found, and the animations are also smooth. Yes, the haptic feedback could be a little better.
It also has some AI features which are quite useful:
- Moto AI: Summarizes notifications.
- Take Note: Transcribes or summarizes meetings.
- Remember This: Option to add notes along with Screenshots or photos.
- News Feed & Journal: Dedicated space for news and personal notes.
ThinkShield is there for security, which ensures data protection. Plus, there are also features like Family Space, which are useful for parental control or remote access.
Speakers and Connectivity
Dual speakers with Dolby Atmos make content watching more immersive. But the bass is a bit less, and the treble dominates more
Connectivity supports 16 5G bands, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth codecs (like AAC). I tested Jio 5G, and the speed was decent as per the area. The issue of call drops was of the network, not the phone.
Pricing and Offers: Value for Money
Now let’s talk about pricing. The starting price of Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is around 25,000, but it becomes even more attractive with offers:
