OnePlus pad 2 is the next generation of OnePlus pad, it looks similar to OnePlus pad. It has a full metal unibody design. One side is flat while the other side is curved and it looks more rounded. The device weighs around 585 to 590 g. Built pretty well and the build quality is excellent. After attaching the OnePlus pad Smart Keyboard it looks close to a laptop. The keyboard also feels good and is tactile.
Display
The product has a 12.1 inches IPS LCD display with 3k resolution. The bezels are enough according to how much is needed and in comparison for a tablet they are pretty thin too. It gives a 144Hz refresh rate giving smooth scrolling and quick response experience.
Even having an IPS LCD display and not an AMOLED the colours are beautiful and gorgeous. At all uses or on Multimedia the display is beautiful. It also gives 900 nits of brightness which makes it also easy for outdoor use.
Performance
The OnePlus pad 2 comes with the latest and greatest powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 3 (4nm) chipset. It offers two variants of 8/128 GB
and 12/256 GB. It only comes on WiFi variant. The antutu score is close to 2 million. Which proves that it’s an extremely powerful tablet.
It comes with Oxygen OS 14.1 based on Android 14. Which is giving an optimised and tuned display and amazing performance. The oxygen OS is the most fluid UI specially for big screens. More AI features will be added to it by the end of the year.
For gaming it gives best performance as it also has the best chipset. Every game can run smoothly with highest graphics but more large and heavy games too run smoothly and beautifully even for a long play on constant fps. And the temperature is also not going too high after the long gaming session.
Buttons, ports, speakers and connectivity and camera
Buttons, ports and speakers: It comes with 3 Smart Keyboard connectors and on right side there is speaker grille, USB type C, microphone and then another speaker grille. On the top the side is flat for the stylus to be kept. Magnetic pencil dock for stylus and another microphone and volume rockers. On the left hand side two more speaker grills and a power button.
Speaker: The 6 speaker setup supports multimedia and Dolby vision. It is one of the best sounding tablets.
The quality of base and clarity of sound is absolutely superb.
Connectivity: For connectivity It comes in only WiFi variant not LTE and with WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. NFC is also supported.
Camera: At the front it comes with a 8MP selfie sensor and 13MP sensor at rear which can shoot videos on 4k which means it supports 4K which is good.
Battery
The product comes with a 9510mAh battery and a 67W charger. As advertised it goes 100% in 81 minutes and 64% in 30 minutes. The battery lasts long enough to satisfy the user and gives enough battery backup after heavy usage. The temperature also not goes too high and it gives a constant performance throughout the day once it’s charged.
Conclusion
This is the whole OnePlus Pad 2 full review the device is amazing. Under 40k you are getting snapdragon 8 gen 3 powerful processor giving excellent performance and oxygen OS the most fluid UI for a tablet.
So It’s definitely powerful and have a nice display, if you want a tablet for long term use which is powerful you can absolutely go towards this product. However for the stylus and the Smart Keyboard you have to pay an extra amount for that.
