If you are looking for a good TWS in budget, then this post is for you! This is the brand new Realme Buds Air 7 which has been launched in India at a price of ₹2799 (with bank discount), and at this price it looks like an absolute killer – be it sound quality or features.
But when it comes to budget earbuds, a question always arises – was there any compromise on quality? Is this really the best TWS under 3K? And how does it stand in front of competitors like OnePlus and Redmi? If this is the question on your mind too, then let me clear all your doubts!
Realme Buds Air 7 Review
So, Realme has launched its new earbuds and these come in some cool new colours. I have the Ivory Gold variant which looks really classy. If you like a little flashy things, then there are Moss Green and Lavender Purple options as well which have a transparent lid.
Talking about the design, the pebble-shaped case of the Realme Buds Air 6 has now been replaced by a new squish-box design, which is definitely a bit bigger, but the quality is top-notch. The soft-touch plastic finish and strong magnets feel quite premium.
When you open the case, you find the pairing button and the earbuds inside. One thing that is immediately noticed are the magnets – quite powerful, the buds snap into place perfectly.
The earbuds also have a nice design. Their dual-tone finish and unorthodox stem design give a different vibe. With an IP55 rating, they are water and dust resistant, and the fit is also quite comfortable. There is wear detection which works flawlessly. There are also tap controls, like double tap, triple tap and tap-and-hold, and you can customise them from the app.
Audio Quality
Now coming to the most important thing – sound quality ! Realme Buds Air 7 has 12.4mm titanium-plated deep bass drivers with a frequency range of up to 40kHz. The result is that these earbuds make the vocals clear and the trebles bright, and the soundstage is also quite wide.
For comparison, I tested them along with OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro and Redmi Buds 6, and honestly, Realme Buds Air 7 impressed me. Their bass is punchy and the highs and mids are quite balanced. The biggest thing is that they are quite loud, without any distortion.
Even if you listen to music at high volume, the sound quality remains absolutely clear. It also has LHDC 5.0 support, which is useful for high-res audio. Not every phone supports it, but the audio quality gets enhanced even more in the phones that work with it.
Audio Features
Talking about the features, these earbuds are full of options. You get different EQ modes that you can customize. The Dynamic audio feature dynamically amplifies the lows, mids and highs, and the 360° spatial audio is great for movies and shows.
It is also quite good for gaming, as the latency is just 45 milliseconds (when turning on game mode). I did not face any audio issues while gaming.
Mic Quality
Now let’s talk about the mic quality. Each earbud has 3 mics, which work quite well for indoor use. Outdoor noise is a bit more pick up, but the mic quality is decent in this price range.
ANC and Transparency Mode
The ANC (Active Noise Cancellation ) of Realme Buds Air 7 is also quite impressive. It reduces noise up to 52dB, and cuts out background hum and rumbles quite effectively. It also has a Smart ANC feature that adjusts the ANC intensity according to your environment.
There is also wind noise reduction which helps a lot during outdoor use. The transparency mode also feels quite natural and does not feel artificially boosted.
Battery Life
Now talking about battery life, these earbuds are also quite ahead in the game. According to the company, these can run for up to 52 hours (with case), and in my testing, with ANC off at 70% volume, these consume only 15% battery in 2 hours, which is quite impressive.
Features
It has Google Fast Pair and Swift Pair support, so the connection with Android and Windows devices is quite fast and seamless. With the Realme Link app, you can customize everything – like dual-device connection, EQ settings, game mode, and even the “Find My Buds ” feature that helps you find your earbuds.
Another cool feature is “Auto Answer .” When you get a call on your phone and you put the earbuds in your ear, the call is automatically answered. This feature works without any hassle and is quite convenient.
Final Thoughts
So, is this the best TWS under ₹3,000? Absolutely! The audio quality , ANC , and features of Realme Buds Air 7 are unbeatable in this price range. The rest of the options from OnePlus and Redmi are also good, But if you want a balanced and feature-packed earbuds, then Realme Buds Air 7 is the best choice.
If you are looking for budget TWS that is great in sound, also offers ANC and also has a long battery life, then Realme Buds Air 7 is the right option. These earbuds are value for money, and there are no major compromises in them.
