Price Hike seen in Redmi K90
The Weibo based tipster said using Gizmochina that the upcoming Redmi K90 Pro would cost more than CNY 5,000 (roughly Rs. 59,000) in China marking a price hike of CNY 1,300 (roughly Rs. 15,000). The upgrade in pricing would establish a higher position for the phone across Redmi’s smartphone lineup.
The Chinese debut of the Redmi K80 Pro saw a CNY 400 price hike beyond the Redmi K70 Pro. Xiaomi called this reorganization a move to establish K-series phones as “main flagship champions” when they launched the Redmi K80 series in November. Xiaomi decided to restructure its product qualities after the 15 series launched into an upscale segment against flagship competitors.
