So Redmi has launched its new budget smartphone Redmi Note 14 SE 5g in India. Now the question is whether this phone will be right for you or not? Are its features etc. How much discount will be available in the launch offer and what is its price? I am explaining everything to you in this post, one by one.

How is the Design and Build Quality?

The design of the phone is boxy type, three camera sensors in the back, LED flash and if we talk about the overall look, it looks cool according to the budget. The front side gets a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED display, which supports Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

This means the display quality will be good, especially the brightness is also given well. There is an under-display fingerprint scanner inside the display for security. And a 20-megapixel selfie camera has been given in the center punch hole, which is fine.

How is the Camera Setup?

There are three cameras in the back:

  • The main camera is a 50MP Sony LYT 600 sensor, which has OIS (for stable video).
  • Then there is an 8MP ultra-wide and
  • A 2MP depth sensor.

So the camera performance is fine according to this price — not very special, but not bad either.

Processor and Performance

The phone comes with Mediatek Dimensity 7025 processor, which goes around 4.5 lakhs in AnTuTu score. That means you will be able to run normal gaming, social media, videos etc. properly. With this, UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR4X RAM have been given, which is now normal in this range.

Audio, Battery and Charging

The phone has dual speakers, and there is also a 3.5mm headphone jack — which is a good thing. There is a 5100mAh battery, which can be charged with a 45W fast charger. The phone runs on Android 15 with HyperOS, which is Redmi’s own interface.

Price and Offers

The base variant of the phone is 6GB RAM + 128GB storage

Should You Buy It or Not?

Now look, according to me this phone is not value for money. Because if you look at Poco, the Poco M7 Pro comes with almost the same features and its price is around ₹12,000.

So when the same thing is available for less money, why would anyone spend ₹15,000? Redmi Note 14 SE only has a new design, the rest of the features are nothing special.

Conclusion

If you just want a slightly new phone in appearance and want to buy it by looking at the name Redmi, then you can. But if you want to make the best use of your money, then there are other better options available in the market at this price.
