Hello friends, today I am talking to you about a laptop which is both a laptop and a tablet at the same time! Yes, this is the Samsung Galaxy Book 5 360, which was launched in 2025 and the starting price is £849.

This is an entry-level model, which is a bit affordable than the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360, but is no less in terms of features. So let’s see what is special in this and why it can be a solid choice for your next laptop.

Samsung Galaxy Book 5 360 Review

Design: Sleek and Solid

Samsung has maintained its signature style this time too. The Galaxy Book 5 360 has an extremely premium design – it is lightweight and slim with an aluminium body. One downside? There is only one grey colour option, so there is no scene to choose from.

The best part is its 360-degree hinge! You can convert it into tablet mode by fully folding the screen. Be it watching Netflix in tent mode or sketching, this laptop is perfect.

The touchscreen is also super responsive, so working in tablet mode is absolutely smooth. And yes, you get an S Pen in the box too, which is great for sketching or note-taking. The only thing is that there is no dedicated slot for the S Pen, which is a bit of a problem when you put it in your bag.

Ports and Connectivity: Everything is there

This laptop does not disappoint in terms of ports either. There are two Thunderbolt 4 ports on the left side, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a USB-A 3.2 port, microSD card slot, and headphone jack on the right side. It charges using Thunderbolt 4 only, so one port gets blocked for charging.

There is Wi-Fi 7 support, which is very smooth for streaming and gaming. I tested hotspot with my Galaxy S25 Edge and did not face any issues. Samsung’s Phone Link feature also works quite well for phone mirroring and file transfer. There is no option for SIM card or eSIM, so hotspot is your friend for mobile data.

Features: Secure and User-Friendly

There is a fingerprint sensor in the power button for Windows login, which works mostly very fast. Sometimes it responds a little slow, but overall no complaints. There is no option for face unlock, which seems a little lacking. There is a dedicated chip for security, so your data and biometrics are safe.

Some Samsung apps are pre-installed, like Samsung Studio which is quite decent for video editing, and the AI Select feature which helps in searching objects or products from the toolbar. This is quite useful for shopping, but is a bit hit-or-miss in searching for specific people.

Using the S Pen, you can write notes, make sketches, or simply relax by colouring. A single button press opens a quick menu, which is quite handy.

Display and Audio: Full Package of Entertainment

The Galaxy Book 5 360 has a 15.6-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution (1920×1080). Colours are extremely vibrant, and HDR content is a joy to watch. Contrast and black levels are top-notch, which makes movies and animated content even more beautiful.

Just one problem – this display is quite glossy, so reflections can be a bit of a problem, especially in darker scenes. Outdoor visibility is decent at max brightness, but one has to work a bit hard in direct sunlight.

For audio, there are dual 2W stereo speakers, which are quite loud and clear. There is Dolby Atmos support, but not as fine as the AKG-tuned speakers of the Pro model. Still, it works perfectly for movies or music. Propping up the laptop in tent mode is easy, thanks to the strong hinges.

Performance and Gaming: Perfect for everyday tasks

The entry-level model has an Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor, and the higher variants get 228V or Core Ultra 7 256V. This laptop is extremely smooth for everyday tasks like browsing, multitasking, or light photo editing. There might be a little loading lag when you open heavy apps, but overall performance is solid.

Gaming is also decent with the Integrated Intel Arc 1300V GPU – Spider-Man delivers 30-40 FPS on medium settings, and older games like Pillars of Eternity or Oddworld: Soulstorm run perfectly. The AMOLED display makes visuals extremely crisp and colorful.

Keyboard and Touchpad: Comfortable and Reliable

The keyboard layout is a bit old-school – there is no separation between the main keys and the numeric pad, so you might miss out on touch typing.

Travel is also less, but the typing action is firm and comfortable. There is a backlit keyboard, which comes in handy in low-light. The touchpad is smooth, and in combination with the touchscreen, controlling this laptop is extremely easy.

Camera and Mics: Good for Video Calls

The full HD webcam is perfect for video calls, and supports background blur like Windows Studio Effects. It performs well even in strong lighting. The dual mics also capture clear audio, so your voice is clear even without a headset.

Battery Life: All-Day Companion

The 68Wh battery lasts for 11-12 hours on a full charge in mixed usage. 13-14 hours for streaming, and 4-5 hours for heavy tasks like gaming or video editing. This laptop is absolutely perfect for out-and-about users. Charging is done via Thunderbolt 4 port, and there is also fast charging support.

Verdict: Is this for you?

So friends, the Samsung Galaxy Book 5 360 is a versatile and stylish 2-in-1 laptop that is excellent for both work and entertainment. The entry-level model is perfect for everyday tasks, light gaming, and media consumption.

If you need heavy video editing or high-end gaming, consider the higher specs or the Pro model, but your budget will also need to be increased. Its AMOLED display, solid battery life, and flexible design are its biggest USPs.
