I got the Vivo V70 Elite and have been using it as a full-time daily driver for the last 30 days. This phone, priced around ₹51,000, feels premium, but is it really worth your money? Let me explain design, display, camera, performance, battery, and everything. Read till the end, then decide what to buy.
Unboxing: What’s in the box?
The very premium vibe comes through as soon as you open the box. Inside is the phone, a transparent cover high-quality, a Type-A to Type-C cable, a 90W charger, a SIM ejector pin, and some paperwork. Everything is included, no need to purchase a separate charger.
Design: Premium and Comfortable
The phone feels solid as soon as you hold it. The metal frame feels premium, and the glass back is scratch-proof. The thickness is only 7.4 to 7.6mm, and the weight is 187 to 194g, extremely light and comfortable. The in-hand feel is excellent. I’ve been using it without the cover for 30 days, and there haven’t been any major scratches yet.
IP68 + IP69 rating, so full dust and water protection but don’t expose your home to water, as the warranty may be voided. Colors include Authentic Black, Sand Beige, and Passion Red.
Display: Flat and Super Bright
This time, Vivo ditched the curved display and went flat. 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display Samsung-made, 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 5000 nits. Everything is clear even in sunlight, text is sharp, and colors are vibrant.
The bezels are extremely thin and uniform, making viewing content a pleasure. The 3D Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is in-display, lightning fast and smooth, unlocking with a fluid effect, satisfaction levels are high. There’s also Face ID, but I only use fingerprints.
Performance: Great for daily use
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, not flagship-level, but absolutely smooth for daily tasks. Apps open quickly, multitasking is great, no lag or jitters. BGMI runs at 120fps, there are no frame drops, and heating is also under control with vapor chamber cooling. This phone isn’t made for heavy gaming, but it’s perfect for casual gamers. With 8GB or 12GB of RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, it’s all fast.
Camera: Zeiss Integration
The camera is a big plus point for this phone. Zeiss-tuned triple setup at the rear, 50MP main OIS, 50MP 3x telephoto OIS, 8MP ultra-wide. Daylight photos are sharp, natural colours, dynamic range is excellent. Portrait shots have accurate edge detection, skin tones look real, no need for too much beauty filter. Night mode delivers noise-free and vibrant photos in low-light. 4K 60fps video is available from all lenses, stabilisation is solid, handles lighting changes well.
Front 50MP selfie camera Samsung GN1 sensor with autofocus keeps skin texture natural, background doesn’t fade. Selfies and videos have excellent quality too. AI features like AI Expander photo enlargement, AI Eraser removing unwanted objects, and AI Floral Blessing adding flowers are fun and feel realistic. Ultra-wide is a bit average, but overall the camera is top-class in the segment.
Battery:
6500mAh battery comfortably lasts 1.5 to 2 days with moderate use. Even with heavy use like gaming, videos, social media, you get 7 to 8 hours of screen-on time. 90W fast charging takes 0 to 100 percent in around 45 to 50 minutes. Bypass charging reduces heat while gaming. Absolutely delighted with the battery life.
Software: OriginOS 6
OriginOS 6 is based on Android 16. Animations are great, customization is quite good themes and lock screen features. AI features like AI Search, AI Captions, Gemini Live are all useful.
There’s a feature like Dynamic Island, notifications and multitasking are easy. Four years of OS updates and six years of security updates are promised, it should be safe in the long term. There’s some bloatware, but you can delete it.
Pricing:
Base variant starts at ₹51,999 8GB + 256GB, higher variants go up to ₹56,999 and ₹61,999. You can get a little less with offers. This price offers a premium design, excellent camera, a large battery, and good performance.
