Design
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro comes with one of the most powerful batteries in the foldable smartphone segment inspite of this, it is lightweight, weighing 236 gm as compared to One Plus. It is 5.2mm thick when unfolded and is thinner than other foldable phones. It is resistant to scratches as the rear panel has a satin matte finish. It has an IPX8 water resistance rating It has a TUV-certified robust hinge system which enables the device to bear 100 fold/days for over 12 years which guarantees durability.
The OnePlus Open flaunts a leather touch which guards against scratches, and fingerprint smudges and enhances the grip in a better way. One plus can withstand 547 fold/day for over 5 years i.e. up to a 10 lakh fold. The phone is water resistant with an IPX4 rating.
Performance
The Vivo X Fold3 Pro reached over 2 million on the AnTuTu benchmark presenting an extraordinary performance day by day. It is the only foldable device furnished with the modern Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset which runs on Android 14 based originOS 4. It has up to 1TB of internal storage and 16 GB RAM.
The OnePlus Open scored 12, 55,699 points on the AnTuTu benchmark. It is furnished with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with 512 GB storage space and 16 GB RAM. It comes with Android 14 Oxygen OS 14.
Display
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has a bigger display for an extraordinary viewing experience as compared to one plus open and comes with two superb quality displays supporting HDR10+ and Dolby Vision content. Features of flex mode and support for split-screen make the device to be used for other purposes also like a mini laptop or tripod for various needs.
The main display of the OnePlus Open offers a superb viewing experience supporting Dolby Vision and HDR10+. It offers sufficient visibility even on bright sunny days. It has a grand screen but the squareish aspect ratio might not perfectly fit all the content. Furthermore, the cover display that comes with a ceramic guard screen protector provides extra durability and is useful and efficient in running most apps.
Overall, both foldable displays offer great quality satisfaction. However, the larger and brighter panel of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro keep it ahead of the OnePlus Open.
Cameras
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has triple ZEISS Optics-backed sensors and a large camera module. The camera performed with perfection while capturing amazing shots in both bright and dim light with nice picture quality, however, the dynamic range would have been a bit better.
The OnePlus Open comes with Hasselblad cameras, including a 1/1.43-inch Sony LYTIA-T808 pixel stacked sensor efficiently designed to capture excellent shots. The camera has issues with lens flare and high noise levels. Overall, the quality of photos in dim light is not so good as compared to Vivo X fold 3 pro.
Battery and Charging
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has a 5,700mAh battery with 100W fast charging. It offers extraordinary battery life which lasts for about 14 hours in PC Mark test and lasts over a day and a half with moderate use. In 35 minutes, the phone can be charged up to 20-100 per cent.
The OnePlus Open has a 4,800mAh battery with 67W fast charging. In the PC Mark battery test, the charge lasted for over 13 hours. 40 percent phone gets charged in about 20 minutes and it takes 50 minutes for a full charge.
The X Fold 3 Pro is more attractive as it supports 50W wireless charging with Vivo’s Vertical Flash Charger 2. This feature is not available in OnePlus Open.
