WhatsApp has pushed a new beta update via Google Play Beta Program (version 2.25.4.18) which is “WhatsApp Beta Custom Sticker Packs“. Among them, they introduce an exciting new feature  which is the ability for you to create custom sticker packs and share them with friends. This feature of Whatsapp Beta Custom Sticker Packs is currently available to a few beta testers but will be available to more users very soon.

What’s New in This Update?

Now users can now simplify their stickers, as they can create customized sticker packs directly within WhatsApp, with this update.

This is a new feature discovered in beta version 2.24.22.13, where it was in development. Indeed, sticker management has improved drastically, and, as you might remember, as of now some beta testers can already try them out, with version 2.25.4.18, which represents a major leap in this respect.

How to Create Custom Sticker Packs

Beta testing would now allow creating sticker packs easily:

  1. In a chat, tap on a sticker and a new option will be displayed then, you can add it to a pack.
  2. Then you can choose to create a new pack or add the sticker to an existing one. Before adding stickers you can name your new pack.
  3. The latest beta update (2.24.16.9) enables you to add multiple stickers at once using the ‘Manage Stickers’ button.
  4. Rename sticker packs whenever you please, or add new stickers as well as delete unwanted ones anytime.

Using this process gets rid of the need for external sticker apps, making it more convenient to organize stickers.

Sharing Sticker Packs with Others

This is certainly a major highlight of the feature, allowing you to share entire sticker packs sharing contacts, groups and channels. Previously for users, it was a very long manual process, which involved sending stickers. In turn, now with a few taps, recipients can select an entire pack.

In addition to that, WhatsApp keeps the details private while you share the sticker pack. A shared pack has no attached user information, for instance phone numbers or names. That means, even if the sticker pack is forwarded, the creator will never show up.

Why you might not have this feature yet

Until this update has made its way out of beta testing mode, however, access to it is limited to only some users. Don’t worry that you have version 2.25.4.18 installed if you don’t see the feature, some of you will gradually get the feature over the next couple of weeks.

Furthermore, some users might be able to try the feature yet on slightly older beta versions of the Firefox, but the most recent update guarantees full compatibility.

What’s Next for WhatsApp?

Previously (2.25.4.15), WhatsApp was working on a feature to give the user an option of how to receive voice message transcripts. So far, you can surmise that WhatsApp is doing all means necessary to make personalization and convenience easier for its users.

As the, there’s every reason to believe that we’ll see even more sophisticated sticker oriented goodness coming to WhatsApp looking ahead, including sticker editing tools or animated sticker support.

Conclusion

WhatsApp Beta Custom Sticker Packs develops the ability to create and share custom sticker packs, which is a very awaited feature, and it eases the management of the stickers on WhatsApp. This update removes the need for third party apps to personalize or interact with stickers in chats.

If you’re in the beta program, you can get access to this “WhatsApp Beta Custom Sticker Packs” feature as soon as it becomes available by keeping your app from the Google Play Store up to date.
