Wide Clamshell Design

Like any flip phone, the Huawei Pura X is set up in a horizontal clamshell aspect. Unlike the standard category of flip phones that unfold vertically, the Pura X unfolds into a wider option that offers a more immersive tablet-like experience.

On the wider side, this broadens the video streaming, gaming, and multitasking aspect ratio significantly. Additionally, this design makes the experience of productivity-oriented users more seamless, while also making it easier to use, because it supports split-screen multitasking.

Advanced Display Features

The Pura X comes with a 6.3″ LTPO OLED inner screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio. This format with a larger aspect format helps to keep these black bars out of video content and offers a better viewing experience.

Its outer 3.5-inch OLED screen can provide users quick access to notifications, music controls, and selfie previews without having to unfold the device. This technology is the LTPO which will ensure an adaptive refresh rate. It will guarantee smooth visuals and at the same time lower power consumption.

HarmonyOS Next: Huawei’s Independent OS

The Pura X is one of the most notable changes in its operating system. The device has been launched fully away from Android running on HarmonyOS Next by Huawei. Away from Android apps this operating system has little compatibility with the operating system as it largely speaks of Huawei’s intention to create an independent and fully integrated software.

Among the wealth of new features, HarmonyOS Next now has a new UI, better energy efficiency, and deeper integration with the cloud services provided by Huawei that make for a more fluid and connected user experience across Huawei devices and more.

DeepSeek AI and Harmony Intelligence

Harmony Intelligence combines Huawei’s Pangu AI model and DeepSeek AI enhancements to power the Pura X. This AI-driven ecosystem allows for highly advanced Natural language processing, personal assistance, and task management.

They are meant to make user interactions more natural and efficient. Moreover, DeepSeek AI helps in improving image recognition, voice command, and predictive typing for more smooth and intuitive usage of any smartphone.

Versatile Camera System

Like all its predecessors, the Pura X continues Huawei’s tradition of marvelous mobile photography. The rear camera system includes:

  • 50MP wide sensor for high-resolution photography.
  • 40MP ultra-wide sensor for expansive shots.
  • 8MP telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom for detailed close-ups.

Additionally, the 10.7MP front camera on the device guarantees quality selfies and video calls. Additional computational photography delivered by AI improves low-light performance, dynamic range, and real-time enhancements for portrait and landscape photography, and also enhances the camera system.

Battery and Charging Efficiency

The Pura X has a battery capacity of 4,720mAh to provide uninterrupted usage for hours at one go. 66W wired charging is supported on the phone, enabling users to charge the device quickly.

Alternatively, 40W wireless charging enables users to charge conveniently without using a cable. Huawei also offers reverse wireless charging, allowing the user to charge things like smartwatches and earbuds on their smartphone.

Market Availability and Pricing

Currently, the Huawei Pura X is only available only in China. The pricing is as follows:

Standard Versions:

  • 12GB RAM + 256GB storage – 7,499 yuan
  • 12GB RAM + 512GB storage – 7,999 yuan
