Microsoft introduces AI-powered Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6
Microsoft recently held its Surface event, in which it updated two Surface devices primarily aimed at business users. These devices are Surface Pro 10 for Business and Surface Laptop 6 for Business.
Both devices now use the new Intel Core Ultra CPU, which is two generations ahead of the 12th-gen Core processors used in previous models.
However, no significant changes have been made in the design of these two devices. What is certain is that now a separate button has been provided in the keyboard for Microsoft’s AI assistant CoPilot.

1. Powerful performance with the latest Intel processor and dedicated NPU
The biggest feature of the new Surface devices is the latest Intel Core Ultra processors provided in them. These processors not only boast of excellent performance but also keep power consumption low.
Additionally, they also have a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) integrated into them. In simple language, these NPU chips help the device to handle artificial intelligence (AI) driven tasks at a much faster speed.
For example, they will be able to perform tasks like video editing, image recognition or machine learning much faster.
2. Copilot key to boost AI capabilities
Microsoft has designed both these devices especially keeping business users in mind. That is why the company has also given a special AI feature in it called Copilot.
Copilot is actually a part of Windows 11 (preview version). It uses AI to help users in their work. For example, Copilot can help you take notes during meetings, assist you in writing your emails, or provide suggestions to improve your presentation.
Overall, the purpose of Copilot Key is to increase the productivity of the users.
3. Design and display
The new Surface Pro 10 and the latest Surface Laptop 6 have been given a very stylish and premium design. Although they do not have an OLED display, you will still get a bright touchscreen panel.
This panel comes with anti-reflective coating so that you do not face any problem in working even in bright light. The specialty of Surface Pro 10 is that it can be used as a tablet or laptop.
Its keyboard is available separately which you can attach or detach from the device as per your need. Whereas, Surface Laptop 6 comes like a traditional laptop and is extremely portable.
4. Connectivity and Security
Connectivity and security are critical for today’s business users. Keeping this in mind, Microsoft has provided the latest Wi-Fi 6E support in both these devices.
Additionally, you will also find many USB ports and an SD card reader. In terms of security, Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 are equipped with the latest security features of Windows 11.
Accessories for Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6
Microsoft also showed off some new accessories for Surface. First of all, they have also made their special adaptive accessories available for commercial buyers.
Additionally, a new keyboard has also been introduced for the Surface Pro, called “Surface Pro Keyboard with bold keyset”.
This new keyboard is different from the old Surface keyboard in the sense that the letters written on its keys are easier to read and its backlight is also brighter.
However, this new keyboard is also optional, that is, it will have to be purchased separately.
