Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro Review: This is the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro and it’s bigger and a little more powerful than its predecessor.
It comes with a charger that is magnetically attached as well as a nice-looking TPU strap. Ours is the lighter grey version. The strap is currently available in Europe and is priced at EUR70.
This model appears similar to it’s predecessor, the Smart Band 7 Pro it does well, but it has some enhancements to the quality of life.
First of all, the display is bigger, it’s 1.74-inch which is an increase from 1.64-inch and slightly better at 336 ppi. It’s also 100 nits brighter, at 600 nits.
The battery is about 20% larger as well.

It’s the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro is powered by Xiaomi’s own OS. It’s easy to use – the swipe to the right opens the settings toggle and the various screens are on the left side while a swipe from the bottom will open the grid of apps, and tapping from the top displays the notifications.
The band is sturdy. It’s constructed of high-strength polymer. You could be forgiven to think it was metal because it’s called a non-conductive vapour metalization coating that makes it appear like metal.
The glass on top of that display Gorilla Glass 3. It is possible to take the smartband swimming with you due to the 5ATM resistance.

It’s the equivalent of 50 meters however Xiaomi includes a list warnings for those who want to check the water resistance. do not take hot baths or saunas be aware that resistance may decrease with time.
