What’s Coming in Apple iOS 17.4? – A Sneak Peek into Exciting New Features

Apple iOS 17.4: Apple will soon launch iOS 17.4, which includes several new features as well as fixes for existing problems. The next iOS update is expected to include some useful new features.

The upcoming iOS 17.4 update may also include some new features, such as more Stolen device Protection options and detailed statistics on battery health.

There is currently no word on the release date of the iPhone’s next stable update. Here are some useful features that will come with it.

100+ emojis

Apple has added over 100 new emojis in the first beta version of iOS 174. There’s a phoenix emoji as well as a lime slice and the heads moving left or right. Some of these emojis have been available for some Android phones since last year.

Digital clock widget

Apple iOS 17.4 Beta 2 now includes a widget for the digital clock. The new widget, named ‘City Digital’ shows both the current time and a location. This is a great tool if you are travelling and would like to know the local time.

Battery health details

The Battery Health section of the Settings app in iOS 17.4 will now show you more details about the battery.

Tap on the battery to see details such as maximum capacity and cycle count. The battery health indicator is now much more detailed than the old version which showed only a percentage.

Additional Device Protection Options

New options have been added to the recently launched Stolen device Protection feature that will enhance overall security.

The user can choose whether they wish to change certain settings using biometric authentication or delay functionality while they are not in a familiar place like home or work.

With iOS 17, users may also be required to input both their biometric ID and passcode to delete an Apple account.

Siri can send messages in several languages

Siri, Apple’s voice assistant soon will allow users to send text messages in different languages.

You can enable this feature by going to ‘Siri & Search,’ in the Settings app. Tap on Messages with Siri, and then add your desired language.

You will then be able send text messages in languages such as Arabic, Thai and Spanish. Apple has also renamed ‘Automatically Send Messages” to ‘Messaging With Siri’.
